About Saltpot Cottage

Our cottage is nestled away off the main road within the small village of Cowling, North Yorkshire. Recently renovated and converted, Saltpot Cottage is a former old mill barn, transformed now into a unique and stylishly decorated cottage at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

Locally, there is a stylish and welcoming village wine bar & micro pub, The Hop & Vine located just at the bottom of our lane for you to enjoy. If walking is your interest, there are a plethora in Cowling waiting for you to discover. With the gorgeous scenery of Saltpot Pinnacle on the doorstep, your senses will wonder! Saltpot Cottage is centrally located for Skipton, Haworth, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Ribble Valley, Leeds and York- the ideal getaway to discover an array of beautiful places.

About your hosts

We are Steven & Chantal, your hosts and we are both delighted to welcome you to Saltpot Cottage in Cowling. We have spent the last four years dedicating ourselves to refurbishing and decorating our lovely old mill barn for our guests to get the same pleasure out of our beautiful part of the world as we do.

My husband Steven is originally from Skipton and I am from just over the other side of the border into Lancashire. Travel has been our passion for many years and we have taken inspiration from the places we have stayed and brought them to Saltpot Cottage. A home from home feel, yet with a hotel-style luxury element, you can expect to feel a sense of calm and relaxation in beautiful surroundings.

Family Friendly Getaways

Our cottage sleeps up to 4 people over 2 bedrooms with a king size bed and two singles. We can additionally provide a travel cot if required. With board games, Netflix/Amazon enabled TVs and an outdoor seating area- something for everyone!

"Booked for mum and dad for a summer getaway. Great value for money firstly. Superb cottage, very well laid out and Steven and Chantal had thought of everything that you may need whilst staying. Easy access to lots of places from this location with beautiful scenery. Excellent local pub just down the road (Dog and Gun) with great food. Friendly neighbours, and all members of the host family were extremely helpful and always on hand if needed."
